Many people don't buy mushrooms and cook at home. Even if they do, they usually prepare it the same way every time. But try making Mushroom Tikka Masala once as I describe in this post. The taste will be different. This mushroom gravy is excellent for chapati.
Ingredients
- Mushroom - ¼ kg
- Onion - 1
- Cardamom - 2
- Tomato - 1 medium-sized
- Garam Masala - 1 spoon
- Coriander Powder - 1 spoon
- Turmeric Powder - ½ spoon
- Cumin Powder - ½ spoon
- Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 spoon
- Chili Powder - 2 spoons
- Curry Leaves - a handful
- Tamarind - 1 small lemon-sized
- Green Chili - 2
- Oil - as needed
Instructions
- First, put a kadai on the stove and add the required amount of oil to it. When it is hot, add the onion, cumin, cardamom, and fry.
- Add the tomato after the onion turns golden brown. It should be well cooked.
- In this, add ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, chili powder, green chili, and curry leaves. Also, add tamarind juice, chili, and coriander powder. It should be mixed well.
- After adding the green chili, grind the coriander powder finely and add it. Then add tamarind, tamarind juice, and bitter gourd. Stir until it boils.
- Add the required amount of water and cook until it reaches a thick consistency. Finally, when it boils, add chopped coriander leaves and remove.
This gravy is easy to make and tastes delicious at the same time.
